This piece was a project my class was given in the 2nd year FdA. The brief was to closely follow a design from a rod drawing which was provided. We were tasked with completing our projects within 4 weeks.

The table is made from Ash and has Tulipwood veneer top and bottom. The drawer has an Ash front, Oak sides and a Cedar base and is joined using half blind dovetails. It is finished with a light wax.

The emphasis of the build was the piston fit of the drawer, which requires very careful and precise adjustments during the fitting process.
